«Theatre is my destiny»
A filming session for the artistic documentary film “Theatre Is My Destiny” was held by the Oguz Han “Turkmenfilm” Association with the participation of distinguished artists of the Turkmen State Puppet Theatre — Gülsere Jumayeva, Annachary Kakabayev, and Ashyrmyrat Gurbanov.bDuring the filming, the veteran artists shared meaningful and fascinating stories about the unique world of theatrical art, memorable moments from their stage careers, their many years of creative journey, and their lives devoted to the arts. For them, theatre is not merely a stage or a profession, but a sacred path that has become the meaning of their lives — a world of creativity inseparably connected with their destiny. Particular attention was given to the distinctive features of puppet theatre and its important place in the hearts and imagination of children. The veteran artists emphasized that puppets are not merely figures brought to life on stage. They are a powerful artistic medium that opens a door to the world of young audiences, helping them understand different situations in life in an engaging and accessible way, while conveying the importance of kindness and the distinction between good and evil, friendship and unity, honesty and humanity. Finding a way to the hearts of young spectators through puppets, explaining the events and situations of everyday life through a unique theatrical language, broadening children’s horizons, and awakening feelings of kindness and goodness in their hearts are among the most important and distinctive features of puppet theatre.
