Leyla Ataberdiyeva was born in 1967 in Ashgabat city. Upon graduation from secondary school No 34 of Ashgabat city, she entered M.A. Gorkiy Turkmen State University (present name: Magtymguly Turkmen State University). After graduation from the university and receiving higher education in 1989, she started working in literary memorial house of B.M. Kerbabayev on the position of research assistant.  Since 2001 and up to now, Leyla Ataberdiyeva has been working as a chief of Department of Decoration Articles, Stage Props and Sewing of the Turkmen state puppet theater. She is doing her best to arrange timely and complete execution of work of her department. In 2015, Leyla Ataberdiyeva was awarded medal called “For love to Motherland”.
