«Yartygulak»

"Yartygulak” is a puppet play staged on the basis of Turkmen folk literature. It tells the story of a poor family suffering from childlessness and struggling with the hardships of daily life.One day, a man who longs for a child adopts a boy despite his very small size. He is delighted with him, loves him, and names him “Yartygulak.” This tiny boy accomplishes tasks that even grown adults cannot perform.Throughout the story, Yartygulak’s bravery, courage, and wisdom are revealed through a series of remarkable adventures. He comes to the aid of his parents. He overcomes the cruelty of a wealthy landlord, exposes the tricks of a mullah, and even manages to subdue a fierce Wolf.Yartygulak’s victory is celebrated as the triumph of justice.
