Events of this play, created on the basis of a Russian national fairy-tale of the same name, dwell on cunning and deceit of Fox. In course of events of this play, inconsistence of throwing the blame for stealing at Hare is exposed. In the end, modesty and generosity of Hare are shown at the stage. Cunning and deceit never result in good. The moral of the play is that deceit and cunning will never result in good, and happiness can only be found through fair labor. The play exposes such negative features, as cunning, deceit, stealing and clearly discovers such bright features, as honesty, truth and modesty.
